Thomas Joseph O'Connor of West Chester, Pa. and La Quinta, Ca., passed away peacefully on March 25, 2019 at his residence in La Quinta, Ca. He was born on June 21, 1950 to Thomas J. O'Connor and Kathryn T. (Lynch), in Philadelphia. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame and proudly wore his class ring his entire life. He spent a year abroad studying art and architecture in Rome, Italy, a city he fell in love with and visited numerous times. Tom was a retired partner in the architecture firm SOSH Architects based in Atlantic City and New York City. After retirement he traveled extensively and managed to visit five of the seven continents. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy (McLaughlin), and loving children, Dylan O'Connor and Caitlin O'Connor. He is a much loved brother of Kate DiLullo (Bob),and Michael O'Connor (Eileen). Tom is also survived by his nieces, nephews and many friends who will greatly miss him. Tom had a keen wit. Undecided as to what his epitaph should read, he narrowed it down to, "Not quite what I was planning." or, "I don't have time for this." A celebration of Tom's life is planned for this summer, date and time to be announced.
