Colletta, Carolyn W. (Hall, Rinaldi) age 77 of La Quinta, CA, formerly of Atlanta, GA & Ecorse, MI, died peacefully in her home on October 12, 2017. Beloved wife of 38 years is survived by her husband, Donald D. Colletta. She was born June 15, 1940 in Baltimore, MD. The third of four children to George and Dorothy Hall (preceded in death) of Atlanta, GA. Survived by her siblings, Patricia (Hall) Kouvaris, Robert Hall and Timothy Hall and by her mother-in-law, Gertrude (Colletta) Heeney. Carolyn is loving mother of 6 children, 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Son, David A. Rinaldi (preceded in death 09/04/2006) was married to Tracey, they have 4 children of Sandstone, VA. Is also survived by daughter, Shelley (Rinaldi) Bottiaux, married to David S. Bottiaux with 4 children of Mobile, AL, son, Anthony G. Rinaldi, married to Nichole, with 2 children of Peachtree City, GA & daughter Elizabeth (Rinaldi) Hall, married to Brian Hall, with 3 children of Wyandotte, MI and stepchildren, son Donald M. Colletta, married to Susan with 2 children & 1 grandchild of Castaic, CA, daughter, Barbara (Colletta) Verhein, married to Scott with 1 child of North Hills, CA as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Carolyn was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in La Quinta, CA and a member of Palm Desert Country Club in Palm Desert, CA. She loved a good party and she loved to shop. As a professional entertainer for over 18 years, Carolyn was one of the lead singers in the nightclub act she shared with her former husband, Tony & Carolyn and Company. Her group performed in and around the Detroit area at such prestigious venues like Top of the Ponchartrain, The Wine Cellar and Pine Knob Manor as well as in the Manhattan, NY area at the Summit and The Living Room. She was one of the first White-American Women to ever record at Motown Studios in Detroit, Michigan. A Rosary and Funeral Mass is scheduled for Monday, October 30 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in La Quinta, CA. Cremation services were handled by Rose Mortuary, Palm Desert, CA. Date of Internment to be announced, will be at the San Fernando Mission Mortuary in Mission Hills, CA. In lieu of flowers, family suggests a monetary donation to Carolyn's favorite charity, St. Jude's Children's Hospital Charity.
