Auston Lavalle Tyler
Auston Lavalle Tyler (68), a U.S. Army Veteran, passed away February 12, 2015 in Cathedral City, California. He was born March 29, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was the youngest of four sons born to the late Jesse Cook Tyler Sr. and Esterline Mimms Tyler.
Auston was baptized at Centennial Olivet Baptist Church in Louisville. At age 8, he moved to Compton, California then later to Santa Ana, California where he graduated from Santa Ana High and attended Santa Ana College.
Auston came from a musical family and loved music. He learned to play the piano and guitar at an early age. He loved photography and playing chess but his passion was everything about Hollywood and its stars, constantly watching and recording movies. His favorite actor was John Wayne.
He is preceded in death by his brothers: Jesse C. Tyler Jr., Winston S. Tyler Sr. and George C. Tyler I.
Auston leaves to cherish his life, his sister-in-law Lottie M. Tyler (Winston Sr.); nephews and nieces: Winston S. Tyler Jr. (Dorothy), Cornell Tyler, Wayne Tyler (Gwen), Michael Tyler, Annette Tyler, Barry Tyler (Sheila), Yvonne Lewis, Regenia Tyler, Michele Gilbert (Howard), Jeanine Tyler, George Tyler II and a host of grand and great grand nephews and nieces.
"Don't weep for me, as I lay asleep, I will float to the Heavenly Gate as my Heavenly Father awaits my arrival, to celebrate my homecoming. I will weep for you on my leaving you behind and wait at the gate upon your arrival for a great celebration of Homecoming."
