Alicia Evelyn, 80, of Rancho Mirage, Ca. passed away peacefully in her home on January 8 surrounded by family. She was born August 25, 1937 in Denver, Colorado to Arthur Mosgrove and Evelyn (nee Jackson). Alicia was married to television syndication pioneer, Howard Lloyd for 40 years before his death in 2006.
Raised by a single mother since the age of thirteen, following the untimely death of her Metallurgical Engineer Father, Alicia did her part to contribute to the family by working as a soda jerk and key punch operator, earning enough to buy the family their first car! In 1959 at 22 years of age, Alicia was excepted into the stewardess training program at Western Airlines, a glamorous and highly sought after position during the "Golden Age of Flying". It was on one of those fateful flights that Alicia met Howard, the charming Television Executive, beginning a courtship leading to their life together in Sherman Oaks and eventually Rancho Mirage. A resident of Southern California for nearly 60 years, Alicia always was a "North Denver Girl" at heart who cherished her roots and upbringing in the storied working class "Old Neighborhood".
A blonde beauty with sparkling green eyes, Alicia was a beacon of light and laughter. Above all else, Alicia was a devoted wife, dedicated homemaker, doting Mother, Grandmother and cherished friend.
Alicia is survived by her son, Christian Lloyd, step-children, Susannah Foshee and Adam Lloyd, grandchildren, Olivia D'Acierno, Alexander Foshee, Conner Foshee, Hunter Foshee, Mikala Lloyd and Lana Lloyd.
