Tribute & Message From The Family

Richard William Dippner

Richard Dippner, the devoted husband of the love of his life, Pat Dippner, loving father of Vicki, Ric and Danny and doting grandfather of 11 grandchildren passed away peacefully with family at his bedside on Tuesday 27 November 2012.

Richard was born in Calgary, Alberta Canada on November 20, 1927. He was a man of many talents. A multi-faceted career led him and his growing family across Canada and into the United States, traveling from Calgary, to Kitchener, Ontario, Edmonton, Los Angeles, California, Clackamas and West Linn, Oregon. An opportunity in Desert Hot Springs arose and Richard served as City Manager, followed by Manager of the Mission Springs Water District.

Richard (Dick) was a Mason in good standing throughout his life and he enjoyed nothing more than being surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

At the request of the family, no services will be held. Those wishing to sign the guest book may do so online at www.yourtribute.com

Condolence & Memory Journal

Candle

To everyone in the Dippner family, you have our utmost sympathy. Dick was a client of mine, but Pat and Dick also became very good friends who we have stayed in contact with for more than 40 years. We have so many good memories of the times that we worked together and laughed together. The picture of Dick is so much like his character, always a smile and ready for a good time. Dick will be missed by a great number of people that he touched during his life.

I remember Mr. Dippner as a fun loving person and a gracious host to many of Vicki's Nursing colleagues from Canada. He will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.

Dick and Pat moved in next door to us about 43 years ago in Desert Hot Springs. They were wonderful neighbors and we became great friends which has lasted through the years even thought we are not in DHS anymore. We have watched our children and grandchildren grow up together. What wonderful memories we share. We have laughed and cried over the years and were always there for each other. What a wonderful family they have and it is comforting to know that Pat will be well taken care of. I wish we were there to help with the comfort of losing a loved one but will see them in Jan. Dick was a wonderful man, devoted Father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. R I P Dick, you will be in our memories always.

Our love and sympathy to Pat and all the family

to the entire Dippner family: I have a wonderful memory of Mr Dippner despite not seeing him for many years. He was a wonderful man, loving father and husband. It is with sadness that I won't get to see him when my husband and I travel west in Jan. You will be missed. May the warm memories of him bring you all comfort some smiles and laughter. I have such fond memories of Mr. Dippner. He always had a smile on his face and a funny story to tell. I remember when I was a child, my parents would have different friends over for dinner. Most of them were boring to me as a child and I would scurry off as fast as I could instead of visiting with the adults. The Dippners were a different couple. I would be enthralled to sit and listen to them tell stories instead of scurrying off. I actually looked forward to it. The way they would tell stories and play off of each others comments was comical genius. I always loved visiting with them. He will be missed. Condolences from the entire Schultz family on your loss. He can now keep my father company that we lost in April. I'm sure there's a buffet they can enjoy wherever they are...
