Tribute & Message From The Family

Shirley Bell (Bryant) Dickherber, began her earthly journey on September 10th, 1941. Despite her courageous battle with failing health, she departed this world and triumphantly entered into heaven on December 5th, 2014, with family and loved ones at her side. She was preceded in death by parents Sherman (Vic) and Opal Bryant, long time residents of Wentzville, Missouri, along with brothers Charles and Tom (Butch) Bryant. After graduating from Wentzville High School in 1959 she married James (Jim) Dickherber of Flint Hill Missouri. She is survived and will always be loved and missed by Jim, their son Mike, and
long time companion Max Silkwood of Desert Hot Springs California; brothers Bob, Bill, Randy; sisters Judy, Linda, Lynette and sisterinlaw Delores Bryant along with all of their families. Shirley, Jim, Mike and Max moved to Southern California in 1967. After a brief period of time, the rest of her family followed her move from Missouri after realizing that family life would be more enjoyable being close to Shirley. A memorial service will be held in her home at 16200 North Bennett Road, Desert Hot Springs, CA on Saturday May 30th, from 12-5 P.M. and all are invited to come celebrate her life and to share some of the joy she brought to so many.

WHEN I FIRST MET YOU IN 1970, YOU WERE IN PIG TAILS AND WERE CUTE AS A BUTTON. AND THAT YEAR YOU HAD THANKSGIVING FOR US IN THE PARK! I KNEW THEN THAT MARRYING INTO THE BRYANT FAMILY WAS GOING TO BE A FUN-FILLED ADVENTURE. YOU NEVER FAILED TO DISAPPOINT. YOU MADE A BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAID FOR ME. I REMEMBER ALL THE FUN WE HAD AT THE RIVER AND THE TWO OF US TRYING TO GET UP ON SKIS. WE HAD A HECK OF A TIME. I'LL NEVER FORGET CALLING YOU EVERY NIGHT FOR THE FIRST FEW YEARS AFTER BUTCH DIED, YOU HELPED ME HEAL. THOSE TALKS MEANT EVERYTHING TO ME. I MISS YOU SO MUCH AND WILL ALWAYS CHERISH YOUR MEMORY.
LOVE FOREVER, DEE
