I have had the pleasure of knowing Sandy for over 50 years. Those that did not know Sandy in her earlier years truly missed out. She was an excellent friend, sister-in-law, bike riding partner, tennis playing, Frisbee thrower and all around good sport. She also liked her catsup and fries with a Harvey's burger. Sandy had talents that many will never know and was accomplished at just about everything she set her mind towards. She was skilled as an artist and as a teacher. She was a perfect wife for my brother who certainly tested her resolve on more than one occasion. She came through admirably and was a wonderful complement for him. Sandy's biggest fear was that she would succumb to Alzheimers like her father. Unfortunately that fear became a reality and her latter years were quite unpleasant. It is an insidious disease. I know that Sandy is in a much better place now and I am proud to have known her and on occasion been able to help her along in her life. She is already missed and I hope she is visiting with my wife now.
