Michael Scott Donnelly passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at the Pettis Memorial Veterans Hospital in Loma Linda. He was born July 11, 1957 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Richard Donnelly and Elizabeth Scott Donnelly.

At age 16, while a student at Pullman High School, he reigned as the Chess Champion of Washington State University. He defeated all of the college students at WSU. He excelled at sports of all types including Baseball, Skiing, Sailing and Swimming. He graduated from Pullman High School in Pullman, Washington. His hobbies were building computers and driving off road in his White Jeep. From age 6 he started helping out in his mother's accounting office and became an accountant, working with his mother for many years. For the past 7 years he worked as an electronic engineer, working on medical equipment for CareFussion in Palm Springs.

Mr. Donnelly is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Scott Donnelly of Desert Hot Springs. He was preceded in death by his father and by his brother John Donnelly.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 28 at Rose Mortuary in Desert Hot Springs at two o'clock in the afternoon. Arrangements are under the direction of Rose Mortuary.
