John Franklin Jones, 61, of Palm Springs passed away on March 14, 2014 in Palm Springs, CA. He was born February 3, 1953 to Barbara Schell in French Camp; CA. John married Lina Fernando on December 2, 1982 in Palm Springs and has been married for 31 years. John is survived by his loving wife Lina Jones of Palm Springs; sons Jeremy Jones of Palm Springs and Johnnie Jones of Stockton; daughter-in-law Cynthia Waldo of Stockton; sisters Norma Ruiz of Washington and Rachel Ancheta of Stockton; brothers Mel Dacanay of Washington and Frank Dacanay of Texas; his 8 beautiful grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. John was a Communication and Training Coordinator for Armtec Defense for 28 years. He also served many years as a Children's Ministry Director in Palm Desert. John had a passion for working with children and bringing them to God. He also had a passion for music and used his talents in his ministry work. John was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandpa, and friend to many and brought joy to whomever was in his presence. John will be missed dearly by many. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 9:00am at Valley Christian Assembly, 73-979 Fred Waring Drive, Palm Desert, CA 92261. We are so sad to know that John has passed away, he had such an impact on so many people at Armtec. We know that he is surrounded by angels, because he was such an angel to others while on this earth. May he rest in eternal peace.
